  • What do the fishing charters include?
    All fishing charters include: -fishing equipment -water & ice -head (limited capacity) -fuel -all fish are cleaned & filleted
  • What should I bring?
    We suggest brining: -sunscreen -sunglasses -hat -camera -appropriate footwear -- rubber fishing boots are recommended! -food & drinks (please consolidate, stowage space is limited) -foul-weather gear & extra layers -- remember that it's generally warmer on shore than out in the ocean! -sea sickness pills, if needed, please be sure to take before departure Please note that F/V Gunnar Fishing Charters and our crew are not responsible for any loss of or damage to your belongings.
  • How many people can participate?
    Charter prices are for up to 6 anglers.
  • Will you clean and fillet the fish for me?
    Yes!
  • Is there a minimum age?
    No, but we do require that anyone under the age of 12 provides their own type 1 life saving floatation device.
  • What type of fish might I catch?
    We offer a variety of trips that can include Stripers, Blue Fish, Flounder, Mackerel, Bass, Haddock, Pollock, Cusk, Cod, Tuna and Shark. You can book your trip based on what you're hoping to catch!
  • What if there is bad weather?
    As we all know, the weather in New England can be unpredictable. The Captain reserves the right to cancel a trip due to weather for the safety of the guests and the crew. All cancelled trips will be rescheduled. If a group insists on fishing even after that Captain has said the water will be rough, there will be no refund if the boat is asked to end the trip short due to illness among guest(s).
  • Where do we get picked up?
    We generally leave from the Bridge Marina at 179 Bridge Rd. Salisbury, MA 01952. In the event that we change the pickup location, we will notify you by phone and/or email.
  • Can I bring alcohol?
    Sure, light amounts of beer are allowed. We do not allow any drugs on board, and a trip can be cancelled, and subject to our cancellation policy, if discovered.
  • When should we arrive?
    You should arrive at least 20 minutes before your scheduled departure.
  • Is gratuity included?
    An 18% gratuity will be included in the final payment that is due the morning of your trip. If you'd like to include additional gratuity at the end of your trip, it's a nice way to show the crew that you enjoyed yourselves!
  • Can I bring marijuana?
    Although marijuana is legal in Massachusetts, this is a federally documented vessel, and as such, marijuana is not allowed. We do not allow any drugs on board, and a trip can be cancelled, and subject to our cancellation policy, if discovered.
  • What is your cancellation policy?
    Cancellations made 14 days prior to the trip will receive a full refund. Cancellations made less than 14 days will receive a 50% refund.
  • Are you licensed and insured?
    Yes, USCG licensed & insured!
